The AO Wastewater Treatment System developed by Qingdao Linzhen Environment Project Co., Ltd. is a highly efficient biological wastewater treatment solution designed for the removal of organic pollutants, ammonia nitrogen, and suspended solids from municipal and industrial wastewater. Combining Anoxic (A) and Oxic (O) biological treatment stages, the system achieves stable nitrogen removal while maintaining low operating costs and high treatment efficiency.

What is an AO System?

An AO (Anoxic -Oxic) wastewater treatment system is a biological wastewater treatment process designed to remove organic pollutants and nitrogen compounds from wastewater. The systemcombines an anoxic tank and an aerobic tank, allowing microorganisms to efficiently degradeorganic matter while converting ammonia into harmless nitrogen gas.

Compared with conventional activated sludge systems, the AO process offers better nitrogenremoval efficiency, lower operating costs, and stable treatment performance. It is widely used in municipal sewage treatment plants as well as industrial wastewater treatment projects.

The AO Wastewater Treatment System Works

Equalization

Balances flow and pollutant concentration.
